Today we will be reviewing one of the most known pre-workout supplements on the market: Bucked Up.
This pre-workout has been designed and distributed by DAS Labs, which are also known for supplements like Woke AF and Deer Antler Spray.
If you search for Bucked Up Reviews on the internet, you will find lots of positive reviews, and that’s why I wanted to try this product out myself.
The design looks very professional and, in my opinion, looks very good. It also contains an ingredient that no other pre-workout has.
In this Bucked Up pre-workout review, you will find my personal experience, the ingredients explained, and if I would recommend it.
Bucked Up is a pre-workout supplement that is designed to enhance your focus, pump, strength, and muscle growth. It has been created by DAS Labs and has gained popularity in the bodybuilding community as one of the best pre-workouts on the market.
DAS Labs claims that it has the following benefits:
They mentioned that they have only included dosages that are backed up by science. The interesting thing about this pre-workout is that they have included ‘Deer Antler Velvet Extract.’ Which they claim could increase IGF 1 and IGF 2.
However, when you search for any studies that could back this up, you will find that many supplement companies put in pharmaceuticals igf1 instead of the real deal.
It’s a nice extra however I am very skeptical about the effectiveness of Deer Antler Extract. The other thing is that the only reason I buy pre-workouts is because of the pump, energy, and focus effects.
Bucked Up Ingredients
Bucked Up Pre Workout has a lot of different ingredients and today I will show you what they are and how they work.
Bucked Up Contains the following ingredients:
Vitamin B12 could help with giving you more energy. That’s why it’s always found in energy drinks, just look at the amount of vitamin b12 in a Monster Energy can.
A study found out that it could indeed help with boosting your energy.
This will help you with getting a pump faster and better. Pink Himalayan Salt is known for its high amount of sodium (98%) and contains essential minerals such as magnesium and potassium.
When you ingest more sodium, your body will hold on the water faster. When you work out, your muscles will use that water, which results in a pump. A pump is basically a combination of foods, water, and blood.
This supplement will help you with improving your performance in the gym by enhancing nitric oxide. It also helps you with not getting fatigued when working out.
A study done on the effects of Citrulline showed that they could do 52% more repetitions than the group that didn’t take Citrulline.
This Amino Acid is amazing for working out. Studies have shown that it could help you with workout volume and increase time to exhaustion. Recommend dosages are between 2 and 5 grams a day for those benefits. Since Bucked up contains 2 grams it’s good to go but a little bit on the low side.
Bucked Up contains a total of 200mg caffeine per serving. This is a typical pre-workout caffeine dosage.
Everyone knows that caffeine will give you an insane energy boost and even has the ability to burn fat.
It’s often found in thermogenic fat burners and in energy drinks for the amazing effects.
This nootropic may help you to boost cognition and even enhance athletic performance. It’s a new kind of ingredient that you will see in the most pre-workouts released in 2019-2020.
This will help you to get that insane focus in the gym and have an overall mental clarity for optimal performance.
This amino acid is very important for regulating calcium levels in your body + it will help you with balancing your electrolytes. Researchers found out that it could help with exercise performance.
Taurine is able to improve the oxygen pathways to the brain, making you more alert and giving you some sort of mental clarity and focus in the gym.
It’s said that this extract could improve IGF-1 and IGF-2 by DAS Labs. However, if we take a look at the studies,, there isn’t much ‘improved.’
A study done on the effects of Deer Ent Velvet extracts found out that there was no evidence that it could help with sports performance.
In my opinion, this extract is added for marketing purposes since their logo is also a deer.
This ingredient is added for extra absorption and to increase the bioavailability of the ingredient in the whole blend.
This is mostly added to improve exercise performance.
My Personal Experience with Bucked Up Pre Workout
The first time I took Bucked Up, I felt very energetic and had an insanely good workout. The focus and intensity were definitely there.
However, the potency went away after every scoop I took, which is probably since I used it too often.
There was no ‘crash’ feeling that I felt with Amped AF from Steel Supplements. However, if you are someone that never uses stimulants like caffeine than you could experience a crash from Bucked Up.
One thing I noticed was that after a while the powder inside of the tub got very sticky and unable to use. This was very weird, and when I Googled this I couldn’t find an answer to that.
Is Bucked Up Any Good, and Would I Recommend It?
After testing this product for at least 30 servings, I can really say that this product works. However, it’s a very ‘standard’ product.
What I mean with ‘standard’ is that it contains a limited amount of ingredients. For the price, they are offering Bucked Up. You can get way more value for your money if you buy a different product.
For example, Wrecked Pre-Workout by Huge Nutrition contains 18 ingredients with a total serving size of 21.1 grams. Bucked Up contains ten ingredients with a total of 10,6 grams. Which means you get double the amount for the same price.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good product however, there are better products out there that you should try first. For example, Wrecked by Huge Nutrition is my to-go pre-workout.
